RELATIONSHlP BRUSH TEETH OBEDIENCE WITH THE INCIDENCE OF DENTAL CARIES AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS GRADE 1 IN MIN KEPATIHAN BOJONEGORO 2017

Abstract

ABSTRACT Dental  caries  is a toothache  tissue  disease  in enamael,  dentil,  and cementum  caused by  microorganism    activity.   Obedience   brushing   twice a  day  in  the  morning   and  evening before  sleeping   and  brush  teeth after meals  can  maintain   healthy   teeth  and  mouth.   The purpose   of this research  is to know  the correlation  between  brush teeth obedience  with dental caries  incidence  at  elementary  school  students  grade  1  in MIN Kepatihan  Bojonegoro.This research  uses correlational research type with cross sectional approach with the number of  samples  114 respondents sampling technique using purposive   sampling. The variables in this obedienc to carry out brush teeth and dental caries incidence. Data collection method using questionnaire and check  list  observation then performed data processing started editing, coding, scoring  and tabulating and univariate analysis with frequency distribution and bivariate  analysis  with rank spearman rho test.The  result  of  the  research   that   most  of  respondents  are   93 respondents (81,6%) enough  to brush  teeth, the majority of respondents are 106 respondents   (93%) experiencing dental  caries,  statistical test result of significance   level  5%,  0, 000<0,  05 so  that HO rejected so  there  is  a  relationship between brush teeth obedience with dental caries incident at elementary school students grade 1 in MIN Kepatihan Bojonegoro.There  is a relationship between brush teeth obedience and dental caries occurence at elementary school students grade I in MIN Kepatihan Bojonegoro.
