THE RELATIONSHIP OF DEPRESSION WITH ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION IN ADOLESCENTS AGED 14-17 YEARS IN THE VILLAGE NGUMPAKDALEM DANDER DISTRICT BOJONEGORO REGENEY

Abstract

ABSTRACT Depression   is a normal  reaction  when  it occurs  in a short  time with the presence   of a clear  trigger  factor,  the  duration   and  depth  of  depression  according   to  its precipitating factors.  Everyone  must  have  a variety  of problems   and  a lot of different  in dealing  with  it. Many teenagers  believe that alcohol  can solve problems,  people  who have anti-social,   vague, Likes to risk   things   to  themselves   or  others.    The  purpose  of  this  study  Determine    the relationship   of depression   with alcohol  consumption   in adolescents  aged  14-17 years  in the village  Ngumpakdalem Dander  District Bojonegoro  Regeney.The  type  of research used is correlational analytic, the population is all teenagers aged 14-17 years in Ngumpakdalem village, Dander  District Bojonegoro regency in 2017,   as many as  18 respondents, and  the number   of  samples   are   18  respondents    who  meet  the inclusion  criteria by using non probability  sampling  with sampling  technique  saturated.  How to collect  data with questionnaires   then in editing,  coding,  scoring  and tabulating,  disajijkan in table estimation  curve and percentage.The results showed that under 8 respondents (44.4%) some who suffered from mild depression as much as drinking alcohol as much as 6 respondents (75,0%) from 7 respondents (38,9%) who were not depressed mostly drinking  alcohol as much as 5 respondents 71, 4%) and from 3 respondents ( 16, 7%) who sufferedfrom moderate  depression mostly drinking  alcohol that is 2 respondents (66, 7%) and from cross tabulation result graph we can see that X value changed (different) followed by a change (difference) that is patterned from  the value of Y and vice versa.Conclusion There is an association of depression with alcohol consumption in adolescents aged  14-17 years, respondents who suffered from mild  depression mostly drink alcohol in Ngumpakdalem Village Dander District Bojonegoro  District in 2017. ft is expected that this research can make the input for respondents to always be careful, careful in mingling and choosing friends and adolescents who are depressed to  be more  able  to control emotions, keep a good social relationships  and positive thinking  to avoid depression. Keywords: Depression,  Alcohol,  Adolescents Age 14-17  Years.
