Abstract

                                                  ABSTRACTThe ideal pattern of parenting is done by both parents.  Changes experienced by parents as a result of a single parent can affect childcare patterns. Single parent mother in Ngumpak Dalem  Village, Dander District, pay  less attention to their children so  that children  act according to their wishes.  The purpose of this study is to describe of democratic parenting at Ngumpak Dalem village District Dander Regency Bojonegoro.This study used descriptive method,  with population of whole single parent family,  67 people, while the sample is 44 people, sampling technique used purposive sampling. How to collect data with questionnaires which then processed by editing, coding, scoring, tabulating presented in the form. offrequency tables confirmed by percentage and narration.Result of research from 44 respondents mostly apply democratic parenting pattern that is  as  many  as  38  people  (86,4%). In  conclusion,   most  single parents families adopt democratic parenting.For that single parents mother is expected to spend time with children.  and listen when children tell stories that arise harmony between children with their parents. Single parents' children are expected to be discouragedfrom living the life of single parents.Key Word: Parenting, Democratic, Single Parents.
